Here’s more evidence that celebrities enjoy trying their luck at the casino, especially when it’s supporting a worthy cause.

JAY-Z, Michael Rubin, and Meek Mill hosted the REFORM Alliance Casino Night and Gala at Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City this weekend.

They all came together to support the cause, and the organization successfully raised over $20 million for criminal justice reform for the second year in a row.

There are many celebrities who love casino games, so they raise money by entertaining each other and having a little fun at the Ocean Casino, too.

What Is REFORM Alliance?

REFORM Alliance was launched in 2019 by the co-chairs, including JAY-Z, Rubin, and Meek Mill. It aims to reform probation and parole systems in the U.S., focusing on shortening probation terms, reducing technical violations, and preventing unnecessary incarceration.

“I never thought I would become like the face of reform,” Mill told NBC News. “I come from the other side of America. We always talk about it, but just climbing through poverty, climbing through being sent in and out of prison.”

The funds raised at the Ocean Casino event go entirely toward REFORM’s programs, such as job fairs, policy advocacy, and community outreach.

The festivities also included a blackjack tournament with JAY-Z among the semi-finalists and a $1 million prize awarded to the winner.

The gala was celebrated as one of the year’s most lavish and impactful fundraisers for criminal justice reform efforts in America.

Who Attended the Reform Alliance Casino Night?

The black-tie event brought together a star-studded guest list, including Beyoncé, Kevin Hart (who served as emcee), and many others from the worlds of music, sports, film, and business. Many guests gathered at the resort’s Fanatics Sportsbook.

High rollers like Hov, DJ Khaled, and Quavo were in attendance, placing big bets.

Other celebrities such as Beyoncé, Jamie Foxx, Ice Spice, Machine Gun Kelly, Latto, Jayson Tatum, Devin Booker, Odell Beckham Jr., French Montana, Fabolous, Corey Gamble, Yo Gotti, and Tiffany Haddish also enjoyed the night.

Many of these celebrities took part in a live charity auction, which featured a number of attractive items, including:

  • A round of golf with Tom Brady at Michael Jordan’s private Grove XXIII golf club
  • An exclusive concert from Megan Thee Stallion
  • A KAWS x Audemars Piguet limited edition watch
  • An Audemars Piguet timepiece made exclusively for JAY-Z, donated from his personal collection

A George Condo painting up for auction fetched $3.4 million, and the golf outing with Tom Brady generated $1.8 million, according to reports. Brady also attended the Fanatics Fest event in New York over the summer and wiped out the competition.

Guests also enjoyed performances from Travis Scott, Ice Spice, Quavo, DJ Khaled, and Chase B, with The Weeknd delivering a full-blown concert experience at Ocean’s Ovation Hall.
