Tahoe Knight Monsters defenseman Ryan Dickinson has announced his retirement after just three seasons in the ECHL. Dickinson, 26, spent time with three different teams during the 2025-26 season, where he put up three assists in 46 games. He spent the first two seasons of his career with the Worcester Railers, where he put up two goals and 11 assists for 13 points in 75 games. Dickinson plans to stay in hockey and plans to begin his coaching career in the near future. He finishes his playing career with two goals and 14 assists for 16 points in 121 games with the Worcester Railers, Kalamazoo Wings, Orlando Solar Bears, and Tahoe Knight Monsters.
Prior to going pro, the Brighton, Michigan, native spent four seasons in the NAHL, where he spent time with three different teams. Over the course of this time in the NAHL, Dickinson put up 10 goals and 50 assists for 60 points in 192 games. He had one assist in 10 games during the 2019 playoffs. Once his junior career was finished, he went to the NCAA. Dickinson spent his first season at the Division I level, where he put up one assist in 14 games with Ohio State University. He would spend the last three years of his collegiate career in DIII, where he had eight goals and 20 assists for 28 points in 66 games with SUNY-Oswego. In 2022, he was named to the SUNYAC All-Tournament Team.
