ECHL: Trois-Rivières Lions Sign Kaleb Ergang

The Trois-Rivières Lions have signed forward Kaleb Ergang to an ECHL contract for the 2026-27 season. Ergang, 25, put up nine goals and 20 assists for 29 points in 50 games last season in the EIHL with the Manchester Storm, while also playing in two playoff games with the Storm. He would put up five goals and six assists for 11 points in 10 games during the EIHL Cup. The Spruce Grove, Alberta native made his ECHL debut at the end of the 2024-25 season, where he had six goals and three assists for nine points in 13 games with the Adirondack Thunder. For the Lions, they get a young offensive forward who has a nice shot and at the very least could fit in nicely into their middle six. Trois-Rivières now has eight forwards and three defenseman signed for the 2026-27 season.

Prior to going pro, Ergang spent parts of five seasons in the AJHL with three different teams. Over the course of 165 games in the AJHL, he put up 42 goals and 73 assists for 115 points. He would add three goals and 15 assists for 18 points in 31 playoff games. Ergang then headed to the NCAA, where he spent four years at Ferris State University. During his time with the Bulldogs, he put up 17 goals and 32 assists for 49 points in 109 games.
