Erik Stevenson's Message to WVU Fans
USA TODAY Sports

Erik Stevenson only spent one year at West Virginia, but in that one year he fell in love with the university, the fans, and the state. Losing in the first round of the tournament wasn't the way he wanted to go out, but he will always remember the experience of getting to play in March Madness.

On Tuesday, Stevenson took to Twitter to thank the fans, the coaching staff, and everyone involved at WVU for making his one year in Morgantown a special one.

Stevenson was selected to the All-Big 12 Third Team as voted on by the league's coaches. He averaged 15.5 points per game on the season, shooting 44.0% from the field and 39.2% from three-point range.

He ranked seventh in the league in scoring during conference play with 15.4 ppg, highlighted by a career-high 34 points in the Mountaineers dominating win over Oklahoma, which overshadowed his previous career-best of 31 the week prior in the Big 12/SEC Challenge versus Auburn.

In the last five games of the regular season, the Lacy, Washington, native averaged 24.6 points per game.
