There's no doubt that the rise of the transfer portal has altered the way many programs build up a roster, as in many cases it gives them a player who already has years of experience at the collegiate level.

However, landing the top high school recruits is still extremely important to retain long-term success, and one of the names that many teams are trying to land is running back Ezavier Crowell out of Jackson, Alabama.

He, just like many players in the 2026 recruiting class, is starting to narrow down their options and make commitments, and on Thursday, Hayes Fawcett of On3 reported that Crowell will be making his decision on June 26.

The final teams left are the Georgia Bulldogs, Florida Gators, Auburn Tigers, Texas Longhorns, Alabama Crimson Tide and the Florida State Seminoles.

It's no shock that so many big-time programs are interested in his services, as Rivals places Crowell as a four-star recruit, the No. 1 running back, the No. 4 player in Alabama and the No. 41 player in the nation.

In his two seasons at the varsity level for Jackson Aggies, he's been extremely impressive, appearing in 27 games, accumulating 3,701 yards and 56 touchdowns on 334 carries.

Crowell has also been an effective member of the passing game, racking up 20 receptions, 470 yards and six touchdowns.

Crowell still has several official visits to take as well, including with Georgia (May 31), Texas (June 6), Auburn (June 14), Florida State (June 15) and Alabama (June 21), which will certainly help decide where he will be playing next.
