
New teams in the conference means changes for the format of the SEC Baseball Tournament.
Texas and Oklahoma are joining the Southeastern Conference for the 2024-2025 athletic season, so beginning in 2025, the SEC Baseball Tournament will include all 16 teams and become single elimination the conference announced on Thursday.
Currently, only the top-12 teams in the standings make the tournament, and it is a double-elimination format after the first round. This year's tournament in Hoover will still be the current format with just 12 teams.
