Nick Saban tells why Missouri is not a ‘perfect’ matchup for Alabama

Nick Saban feels Alabama football’s game against the Missouri Tigers will be a challenging road test for the Crimson Tide.

The Crimson Tide will enter the game riding a four-game winning streak. The Tigers are undefeated and are currently ranked as the No. 14 team in the AP Poll. Missouri has leaned on its rushing attack and stifling defense to have success this season.

Saban feels the Tigers’ rushing attack makes this an unfavorable matchup for the Tide.

“This will be a real road test for them in Missouri, no doubt, because the matchup is not perfect for them,” Saban said on ESPN’s College Gameday. “They’ve struggled to stop the run. Missouri is great at running the ball.”

Missouri currently leads the SEC in rushing. The Tigers’ running back, Ahmad Hardy leads the SEC in rushing with 739 yards and nine touchdowns.

The Crimson Tide will have their hands full trying to stop him on Saturday.
