The Oklahoma City Thunder are enjoying perhaps the best season in their organization's young history. It's their first appearance in the NBA Finals since 2012 when they fell to the LeBron James-led Miami Heat. The Thunder had a big three of their own in Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook and James Harden, but at vastly different points in their careers.
The Thunder entered Game 4 trailing 2-1 and looked to be on the brink of dropping their second straight, but an impressive 12-1 run down the stretch evened the series at two games apiece heading back to Oklahoma City. The Thunder are now two wins away from their first NBA Championship.
While the series has been dramatic to this point, some have pointed to the fact that the NBA Finals feature two small-market teams rather than a large market like New York as the cause for the drop in ratings.
While that may well be the cause, it doesn't mean the product hasn't been solid, a sentiment Robert Griffin III took on X, formerly Twitter.
"The ratings for this NBA Finals may be the lowest in awhile, but the high level basketball that is being played by the Oklahoma City Thunder and Indiana Pacers has been beautiful to watch," wrote Griffin III. "I wish these 2 small market teams would get the love and appreciation they deserve."

Basketball in the Hoosier State is no joke. From high school to college to the professional level, they love their basketball. The Thunder fans are some of the most dedicated fans the league has to offer.
The Thunder are still overwhelming favorites to hoist the Larry O'Brien Trophy when all is said and done, at -590, an implied probability of 85.51%. The Thunder will look to take the series lead when the two meet again for Game 5 on Sunday night.
