Several months after his coaching career took a major hit and his personal life nearly collapsed, Sherrone Moore continues to make headlines. The former Michigan Wolverines head coach lost his job over an inappropriate relationship with a staffer.

Paige Shiver, a former executive assistant, shared frightening details about her past relationship with Moore. She described the four-year relationship an “open secret” within the athletics department.

More than that, she revealed she got pregnant by the coach, but a rare disease forced her to terminate the pregnancy.

During a bombshell interview with ABC, Shiver detailed how she found out she was pregnant. However, she learned that she suffered from Pompe disease, a rare, inherited lysosomal storage disorder that weakens muscle.

“Multiple doctors and experts told me that it wouldn’t be right or healthy for me to keep the baby,” she told ABC. “[Moore] said you have to do what’s right for your body.”

The years-long affair came to an abrupt end on December 10, when Michigan fired Moore. Hours later, the coach broke into her apartment, which resulted in the whole scandal that granted Moore 18 months in prison.
