Arguably no celebrity couple has had such a whirlwind around their relationship in the last year than Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift. Both individuals spent the last year drilled into the center of the sports/entertainment landscape.
Swift completed a near 150-show "Era's Tour" while Kelce was entrenched in a near three-year run atop the NFL with the Kansas City Chiefs. For the latter, his run ended in a sour mood after the Chiefs' decisive loss at Super Bowl LIX.
Retirement had been on the mind for Kelce and reporters questioned him after the game about that decision. Ultimately, he has decided to return to the gridiron for one more season.
On the other hand, Swift's worldwide tour made for an admirable yet draining venture. Both she and Kelce have since taken some time away from the spotlight for themselves.
But amid this transition, Swift is also working to make amends on a friendship that recently went up in flames.
Swift's friend, entertainment star Blake Livey, recently sued her co-star in "It Ends With Us," Justin Baldoni. Following a filing from Baldoni that listed Swift as one who pushed Lively forward on the lawsuit, Swift and Lively's friendship reached a rift.
Previously seen chopping it up with Swift at last year's Super Bowl, Lively was nowhere to be found this time round in the pop star's VIP box in New Orleans. However, it appears the two have come to an understanding.
”(Swift and Lively) have worked everything out,” a source told NewsNation. “Blake apologized and they are talking again.”
According to their report, Swift had expressed frustration about being dragged into what has become a viral messy situation front-of-mind in the entertainment world.
With that resolved now, perhaps Swift and Kelce can go back to enjoying time together and away from the cameras for a little while longer.
