It is never easy to follow a brother who has become a national star. It gets even harder when your brother is Travis Hunter, who just won the Heisman Trophy and is a likely top five pick in next month’s NFL Draft. That is the situation for Trayvis Hunter. The Class of 2027 wide receiver has an opportunity to shine on his own this weekend at OT7, Overtime’s football league, which is an elite 7-on-7 tournament that is broadcast on the NFL Network.

The younger Hunter does not have the size of his older brother at this point (5-foot-7, 135-pounds), but he did have a very productive sophomore season at Effingham County High School (GA) with 496 yards receiving and six touchdowns.
This production has resulted in two early FCS offers from Tennessee State and Jackson State, which is where Travis began his collegiate career. With plenty of eyes on him this weekend, his play on television at the OT7 is likely to enhance his recruitment in the coming weeks.
There is still a long way to go for the 2027 recruit, but Trayvis Hunter has become a name to keep an eye on.
