USC Trojans freshman combo guard Bronny James made his long-awaited collegiate debut over the weekend against Long Beach State.
It was a moment that some never believed would ever happen, but thankfully his health improved enough. James was cleared for game action and quickly made his USC debut.
In 16 minutes off the bench, he scored four points but provided some terrific all-around defense.
He does have some NBA draft buzz around him, and we could see him be selected next season. Of course, he needs to perform well, but he is a talented guard with tremendous upside.
The experts over at Draft Express believe that he could end up being a solid player in the league.
"According to the NBA draft expert, the 6-foot-4 freshman could turn into the Trojans' best defender. Draft Express analysts cite the fantastic use of his athleticism to lock down enemies in one-on-one situations, get past screens and make defensive plays to reject shots or force turnovers."
However, some fans quickly turned against Bronny and even made jokes about his draft stock. You can see some below.

To be fair, Patrick Beverly has carved a very nice career out for himself. So, if Bronny does end up like that, then he would have had a successful NBA career.
Just because he is the son of LeBron James doesn't mean that he will be as good. But Bronny is trying to make his path in the NBA, and it all starts with how he plays in college.
