Officiating sports—at any level—is a tough job. It’s a thankless job, and one that’s naturally subject to a lot of scrutiny.

Calling balls and strikes for collegiate or professional baseball is arguably the toughest gig of the bunch. The egos, competitive nature, and mental side of America’s past time often brings emotions to a rolling boil.

Well, in yesterday’s Big 12 Baseball Tournament quarterfinal game between TCU and Houston, we saw one of those calls that left one fan base scratching their heads—and quite honestly it’s hard to argue with them.

In the bottom of the second inning, Horned Frogs’ third baseman Colton Griffin was hit by a pitch, prompting him to flip the bat towards the TCU dugout, remove his elbow guard, and trot to first base.

Apparently, something in the video below was enough to get him tossed from the game, though, as he found himself in the dugout for the rest of the evening. Take a look for yourself:

What do you think—did Griffin do enough to get tossed? Or was the ump of his rocker?

Ultimately, it didn’t matter all that much. TCU would go on to a comfortable 7-1 win and advance to today’s semifinal round, where they’ll face Kansas.

Unfortunately, Griffin has been suspended for tonight’s game after being ejected in yesterday’s contest, so there could still be fallout as a result of the questionable call.

That game is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. CT on ESPN+.
