Teammates Jon Rahm and Tyrrell Hatton will be going head-to-head in the final round of LIV Golf Mexico.
Rahm currently has a two-shot lead after the end of the third round, over his Legion XIII teammate. According to Rahm, things would be a bit different between the two as they battle it out on Sunday.
The 2023 Masters champion, with a score of 14-under par, has put on a strong performance on the back nine. As a result, he finds himself at the top and will be paired with Hatton for the first time in a final round.
“I mean, I don’t see the dynamic changing a lot, but I can imagine we’re going to be speaking a little bit less than we do normally just because of the situation we’re going to be in. That’s it,” Rahm said.

The Spaniard is fighting for his second win of the season, after securing the title at Hong Kong.
His disappointing performance at Augusta is already a thing of the past as Rahm is working with his “swing issues,” which he admitted earlier.
Not only teammates at LIV but also at the European Ryder Cup, Rahm and Hatton are a formidable duo for Legion XIII. As things stand, both will present an engaging final round for the audience at Club de Golf Chapultepec.
Tyrrell Hatton was also all business when it came to the tournament.
“Yes, me and Jon get on very well off the course but when we’re on it, we want to beat each other,” said Hatton.
Both Hatton and Rahm have an impressive record of 4-0-1 at the European Ryder Cup as teammates. As LIV Golf teammates in Legion XIII, they found immediate success when they won the season opener in Mayakoba. In 2025, their team won the LIV Golf Team Championship for the first time, defeating Crushers GC in a playoff.
“I’ll be trying to make as many birdies as I can to overtake Jon, but that’s going to be a difficult task,” Hatton said. “He’s proved many times how to win golf tournaments. He’s been incredibly consistent this season so far on LIV. It’s going to be a tough day, but hopefully I can play well and see what happens.”
Following them, in third, is another Legion XIII teammate, Tom McKibbin, who is tied for third with Southern Guards GC’s Branden Grace at 11 under, just three shots off the lead.
All three will battle it out in the final round to get their hands on the title.
