The Charles Schwab Challenge will tee off for its third round on Saturday. Matthias Schmid leads the field, tied with Benjamin Griffin at 11-under, followed by John Pak at 9-under in third and Chris Gotterup at 8-under in fourth.

But before the third round could begin, the PGA Tour announced unfortunate news about Isaiah Salinda.

From their official account, they posted, "Isaiah Salinda WD prior to the third round of the Charles Schwab Challenge. Harry Higgs will now play at 7:06 a.m. with Jordan Spieth and Lucas Glover."

Salinda, a $1.4 million golfer, was tied in 62nd place on the leaderboards. He finished with an even-par total of 140.

Before this tournament, he played at the Byron Nelson, where he finished 56th at 6-under par, posting rounds of 68, 68, 74, and 68 for a 278 total.

That event was won by PGA Champion Scottie Scheffler, who is surprisingly enduring one of his more disappointing performances; he currently sits 49th at 1-under after two rounds.

Higgs, the one who replaces Salinda, tied for 62nd at even par, firing opening rounds of 68 and 72 before finishing on the par mark.

With this withdrawal, Salinda joins a list of golfers. Zach Johnson, Will Zalatoris, Rasmus Højgaard and Nicolai Højgaard had also withdrawn from the tournament before it began.

Akshay Bhatia, who replaced Rasmus, is having quite a satisfactory performance in the tournament so far. He is in the 5th spot with 7-under, carding 67 and 66 in his two rounds.
