Los Angeles Angels outfielder Jo Adell brought the crowd in Anaheim to its feet on multiple occasions over the weekend, robbing three Mariners of home runs to lead our Calls Of The Weekend.
After robbing Cal Raleigh of his first home run of 2026 in the first inning Saturday at Angel Stadium, Adell denied Josh Naylor a game-tying homer in the eighth, but saved his best performance for the ninth. Still clinging to that 1-0 lead, J.P. Crawford unloaded on a Jordan Romano offering down the right field line. But Adell would not be denied, leaping into the air and snagging the baseball before tumbling over the wall and into the crowd.

In what was a 10-9 game at the time (which could have been a Texans-Raiders score), Brent Rooker sent A’s fans home happy after crushing a three-run bomb to left for a 12-10 win in Sacramento, as called by Chris Caray.
After preventing the Braves from scoring in the top of the tenth inning Sunday, Ketel Marte needed just one pitch from Joel Payamps to end the contest, lining it over Mike Yastrzemski’s head in right to drive in Jorge Barrosa with the winning run and a 6-5 victory. Check out the call from Steve Berthiaume.
The Pirates may have the best young team you haven’t heard of outside of Paul Skenes and Konnor Griffin. Nick Yorke showed some of that off on Saturday, as his RBI double in the bottom of the ninth gave Pittsburgh a fourth consecutive win and a “Raise The Jolly Roger” from broadcaster Greg Brown.
