Eugenio Suárez’s grand slam lifts Diamondbacks to sweep the Mariners

The Arizona Diamondbacks completed the sweep in easygoing fashion over the Seattle Mariners at Chase Field on Wednesday by a score of 5-2.

Seattle jumped out to an early lead after Eduardo Rodriguez gave up a single to Jorge Polanco that scored Julio Rodríguez. Donovan Solano hit a home run off of E-Rod and gave the Mariners a 2-0 lead. It didn’t last long though, as Arizona came charging back.

Soon after Pavin Smith followed his lead and his solo shot home run. Smith put Arizona on top by a score of 5-2. If the Diamondbacks’ role players can continue to fill in when times get tough, Arizona might have a recipe to contend going forward. (Video Credit: Ben Bliklen |Burn City Sports)
