Playing in the cold might be “the worst,” but New York Yankees infielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. turned it into an opportunity.

The native of the Bahamas was vocally unhappy with the cold New York weather last month. After a chilly series in the Bronx in April, Chisholm admitted to reporters that he’d been using “a lot of Vaseline” to combat the harsh conditions.

Then he took it a step further: “Shout out Vaseline, send me some.”

Vaseline apparently heard the shout-out, because they did.

On Friday, Chisholm, who is on the injured list and not on the Yankees' road trip, posted an Instagram story showing off his new stash of custom Vaseline products, including containers blinged out with his name and initials.

Because if you’re going to stay moisturized, you might as well do it with flair.

The shoutout was initially captured by New York Post Yankees reporter Greg Joyce, who shared Chisholm’s comment on Twitter. On Friday, Joyce updated his followers with a picture of Chisholm’s swag.

Chisholm has never been shy about expressing himself, whether through fashion, flair, or, apparently, skincare preferences. Now, even while rehabbing from an oblique injury, he’s finding ways to stay in the conversation.

Before landing on the injured list with an oblique strain, Chisholm was showing signs of settling into his most consistent stretch as a big leaguer. Through 34 games, the 26-year-old was slashing .276/.338/.466 with six home runs, 18 RBIs, and nine stolen bases, flashing the power-speed combo that has long tantalized scouts.

When he returns, the Yankees' infield is a little more crowded, and he may find himself moving over to third base. DJ LeMahieu has returned from the injured list, where he began the season after a calf strain in spring training, and has played well at second base.
