Veteran Infielder Kolten Wong has officially retired from Major League Baseball. He initially announced his retirement from the league on Friday at his alma mater, the University of Hawai’i. He was being inducted into the school’s Circle of Honor when he made the news official. How will his professional career be remembered?

Wong played for the St. Louis Cardinals , Milwaukee Brewers, Seattle Mariners, and Los Angeles Dodgers during his MLB career. He spent the majority of his career with the Cardinals. He was also one of the best fielders of his generation. He won Gold Glove Awards in 2019 and 2020. He ended his Major League career hitting .256 with 86 home runs and 405 RBI.
Wong had a solid career in Major League Baseball. While he was never a cornerstone player in the league, he was a consummate professional. He was reportedly a well-respected player in all the locker rooms he played in.
