The Los Angeles Dodgers are coming off their second World Series championship in the last five years after beating the New York Yankees 4-1.
The Dodgers are known for acquiring superstars and paying top dollar relative to the rest of the league, such as with Shohei Ohtani and Mookie Betts.
This offseason was no different, as the front office did not sit on their hands and accept the roster as is despite winning a championship.
This offseason they added star Japanese pitcher Roki Sasaki and two-time Cy Young winner Blake Snell. They also added depth pieces in Michael Conforto, Kirby Yates, and Tanner Scott.
The roster already had plenty of star power, but only seems to be getting better. In a recent MLB offseason grades article from The Athletic, LA got an A grade, an impressive feat given the championship-caliber roster they already had.
The Dodgers are the current betting favorites to win the World Series in 2025 and go back-to-back. This offseason has only improved their viewpoint as potential champions.
LA fans are already the most blessed fans in MLB, and this offseason has just continued to prove why, to the point where people around the league are starting to talk about a hard cap.
The Dodgers have been spending so much money successfully that they might change the rules.
