Milwaukee Brewers With Extraordinary 3-Game Stretch
Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

The Milwaukee Brewers are coming off a three-game stretch on the road against the Atlanta Braves they won’t soon forget. It was not just that they swept the Atlanta, but the Brewers completely dismantled their opponent. Milwaukee outscored the Brewers 34-12 over this three-game set. Milwaukee won the first game 10-0, the second game 8-5, and the series finale this afternoon 16-7. Milwaukee’s 16 runs today are the most they have scored in any game this season.

Milwaukee slugged a season-high six home runs in Thursday’s game. One of the many standout offensive performers in this series was Catcher William Contreras who had 7 RBI. Will the Milwaukee Brewers be able to keep up this offensive performance as they compete in a loaded National League?

Milwaukee Brewers Season Summary

It has been a great 2024 regular season for the Milwaukee Brewers(65-49). They hold a commanding lead in the National League Central and have the third-best record in the National League. Only the Philadelphia Phillies and Los Angeles Dodgers have a better record in the NL than Milwaukee does. The Brewers have been led by an exemplary offense this regular season. They are fourth in batting average, 20th in home runs, and seventh in runs scored. Their offense is paced by Shortstop Willy Adames. He is in the top 20 in the league in both home runs and RBI.

Milwaukee’s pitching staff has also been strong this season. They are eighth in ERA, 16th in WHIP, and 17th in opposing batting average. Their pitching staff is led by Starting Pitcher Colin Rea. He leads the team in wins and ERA. Freddy Peralta is also seventh in the league in strikeouts.

Brewers Upcoming Schedule

The Milwaukee Brewers head home for a three-game series against the Cincinnati Reds tomorrow night. Following the divisional series, the mighty Los Angeles Dodgers come to town. This four-game set gets underway on Monday. This will be a critical series for both sides as it will provide a measuring stick for both teams as the home stretch is about to get underway. With these teams separated by only half a game in the standings, this series can shake up the National League standings. The Dodgers took two of three games from the Milwaukee Brewers in Los Angeles a little more than a month ago.

Milwaukee is in a great position for the 2024 MLB Playoffs and the Milwaukee Brewers are poised to make the postseason for the sixth time in seven seasons. They have yet to break through in the National League but hope 2024 can be their year.
