NBC sports MLB reporter Kylen Mills learned the hard way not to keep valuable electronics close to her when doing postgame interviews on the field.

Following last night's San Francisco Giants win over the New York Mets, Mills tried to interview Giants catcher Daniel Susac, who had three hits in the win. But all of a sudden, his teammates gave him a surprise Gatorade (or Powerade) bath, which also caught Mills - and her laptop - head-on.

Mills took to X afterwards and announced that her laptop was "cooked" as the drink sprayed all over the keys and knocked it off of the table it was on.

"My laptop is cooked," Mills announced, adding a laughing emoji.

Sympathy or Silly?

Baseball fans that saw what happened have started debating whether the Giants actually owe Mills a new laptop or if it's her fault that she had the device on the field in the first place:

"I’m typically not a Karen about this stuff but they better get her a bottle of wine or something on top of a new laptop," one user wrote on X.

"Can’t think of one good reason that laptop would be there. These interviews always end with Gatorade baths, and she should be able to remember the two puff piece questions," another remarked.

"Who threw the Gatorade? They owe her a new one," a third declared.

"RIP to the laptop. Future interviews will need to be conducted away from the set."

For what it's worth, Mills isn't all that broken up about it. She's taken it in stride and has joked about the fun experience she had in the moment.

"It was a fun game and hoping for more like it, minus getting drenched with Powerade," she wrote on X last night.

Lesson learned: Keep your electronic devices safely out of range of any surprise Gatorade baths.
