New York Yankees Announce Giancarlo Stanton 2025 Debut

The New York Yankees have been one of the best offensive teams in baseball and that has been without former National League MVP Giancarlo Stanton in the lineup. He dealt with an injury in both of his elbows prior to Spring Training and has been unavailable since. However, with the slugger getting ready to wrap up his rehab assignment and join the team, it is going to be interesting to see what happens. Manager Aaron Boone gave an update and said when they plan on activating him on the roster so let’s take a closer look at when that will be.

Giancarlo Stanton Returning to New York Yankees Imminently

Giancarlo Stanton has locked himself into the middle of the New York Yankees lineup since being traded to the team prior to the 2018 season. However, his availability has been a bit of a question mark and he has locked up the designated hitter position as the team does not allow him to play much in the field. On Saturday before the Yankees play at Fenway Park to take on the Boston Red Sox, manager Aaron Boone discussed Stanton’s return as it has been speculated he would return at some point this series.

Boone stated that the return will not be taking place this weekend, but is expected to happen on either Monday or Tuesday of next week at home against the Los Angeles Angels. This would make for an interesting roster move as the Yankees are going to be trying to fit his bat into the lineup meaning that one of the starting players currently would be relegated to the bench. It will be intriguing to see how the Yankees maneuver rest days for the 35-year-old slugger as they want to keep him healthy and keep the team fresh as the Yankees look to extend their lead in the American League East.

The Yankees have had no shortage of offense in Giancarlo Stanton’s absense so it will be interesting to see how they navigate this good problem to have.
