San Francisco Giants Keep Winning In Thrilling Fashion

The San Francisco Giants won earlier today against the Texas Rangers in one of the most exciting ways possible. The Little League home run. Left Fielder Heliot Ramos turned an infield single into the game-winning run. Texas kicked the ball around in a comical fashion. San Francisco is no stranger to an exciting victory. It was the team’s fifth walk-off win in April. The last time the team had 5+ such wins in a calendar month was May 2013.

San Fran’s other walk-off wins were April 4 against the Seattle Mariners, April 6 against Seattle, April 9 against the Cincinnati Reds, and yesterday against the Texas Rangers. It seems that San Francisco has walk-off wins, they come in bunches. Will the San Francisco Giants keep up their walk-off wins?

San Francisco Giants Season Summary

The Giants have gotten off to a great start this regular season. They are leading the National League West at 19-10. Their offense has been poor. They are 22nd in batting average, 15th in home runs, and eighth in runs scored. Wilmer Flores has paced the team’s offense. He is leading the league in RBI.

San Francisco’s pitching staff has been tremendous. They are seventh in ERA, fifth in strikeouts, and 11th in opposing batting average. Starting Pitcher Logan Webb is 11th in the league in ERA and sixth in strikeouts. The Giants must receive better production on offense for the team to reach its full potential.

Final Thoughts

San Francisco has the day off Monday before heading on the road for a two-game set against the San Diego Padres. The Giants will look to continue their winning ways next week against another top-flight squad.
