Despite being on the 10-day injured list, San Diego Padres young star Jackson Merrill is going to be in the picture for a long time. The soon-to-be 22 year old signed a nine-year, $135 million contract extension with the Padres at the beginning of April after a majorly impressive rookie campaign in 2024.
