Hugh Keevins has written off new boss at theRangers Russell Martin, questioning his credentials and tipping Celtic for next season’s title…

I don’t know about you but that’s giving me the total fear. The majority of the Ibrox support have already written off their new gaffer, and old Shug seems to be in agreement, but giving his horrible history with such predictions it’s not a good sign. Nostradamus he certainly is not.

For many a year Keevins has seen his peculiar opinions come back to haunt him whether its been on air or in print, he’s more often than not spectacularly wrong so much so that even his fellow colleagues poke fun at him. We’ve even heard his predictions go badly wrong live on the radio before he can get his long-winded sentence finished.

Like the time St Johnstone equalised against Celtic deep into stoppage time at McDiarmid Park –  before  he could get his doom and gloom, Celtic have thrown away the league, rant over Giorgos Giakoumakis had made it 2-1 to Ange Postecoglou’s Celtic side.

And talking about Big Ange,  who can forget his now infamous rant about Ange Postecoglou after his first league game in charge? Keevins wrote him off completely describing him as ‘Absolutely Not Good Enough’ and we all know how that ended much to our amusement as he tried to be clever telling us what A.N.G.E stood for.

I’ve every confidence in Brendan Rodgers and that he will lead us to five in a row, let’s just hope wee Shug is spot on for a change. He’s got to get something right at some point has he not? The truth is that he simply blows with the wind and likes to tell theRangers supporters listening to him on the radio or reading his weekly newspaper column what they want to hear.

Martin certainly deserves more respect than Keevins is showing him and so too did Ange Postecoglou.
