As the New York Yankees look to avoid getting swept this afternoon by the Cleveland Guardians, another injury update swirled around their superstar outfielder.
Speaking to reporters ahead of Thursday's game against Cleveland, manager Aaron Boone revealed that Aaron Judge (bone bruise) underwent an MRI last night and will now undergo an X-ray and CT scan in hopes of determining the extent of his injury.

Judge is slated to miss his third straight game for the Yankees this afternoon. Boone revealed on Tuesday that the three-time AL MVP experienced soreness in his right clavicle that plagued him during New York's series against the Athletics last weekend.
Boone also added that he can expect an update on Judge "in the next couple of hours" or "immediately."
The hope is that after undergoing this MRI, along with an X-ray and a CT scan, the Yankees can fully determine whether Judge needs to miss more time or a stint on the injured list. Judge has been on the IL just seven times in his career.
When asked why the Yankees haven't placed Judge on the IL, Boone expressed optimism, saying they're hoping he won't miss many more games after today.
Since missing the last two games, the Yankees have turned to Jose Caballero to play right field in the first two games of their series against the Guardians. Caballero, however, is back at his natural position at shortstop today for New York with Max Schuemann manning right field in the finale.
It's been another great year for Judge. In 59 games, Judge is slashing .248/.375/.533 with 38 RBI and an OPS of .908, while being tied for fourth in Major League Baseball with 17 home runs.
As already mentioned, the Bronx Bombers are looking to avoid getting swept today by the aforementioned Guardians at Yankee Stadium before they welcome their rivals, the Boston Red Sox, to town this weekend, with the hope that Aaron Judge will be available.
