The A’s have agreed to a minor league contract with right-hander Zack Godley, MLBTR has learned. He’d been pitching with the Gastonia Honey Hunters of the independent Atlantic League.

Morning news and notes for June 30, 2021 Zack Godley, a semi-interesting pitcher who threw 3.1 innings for the Brewers earlier this year, has agreed to sign with Cleveland.
Godley, 31, inked a minor-league deal with Milwaukee earlier in the year and was twice selected to the big-league roster.
The 30-year-old landed on the IL back on June 4 because of a strained left oblique he suffered the previous day. He was batting .280 with four home runs and 15 RBI at the time he was sidelined.
Godley's stay in Milwaukee was a short one.
Corbin Burnes and Zack Godley have been placed on the injured list. Godley is dealing with a right index finger contusion, while no reason was given for Burnes' absence.
First base umpire Marty Foster went viral during the Marlins-Brewers game when he ruled Milwaukee pitcher Zack Godley guilty of obstruction.
