The feud between Arman Tsarukyan and Paddy Pimblett is heating up and the Armenian has trashed the Brit following his recent comments.

The lightweight division is in somewhat of a strange position at the moment following Topuria’s knockout win over Charles Oliveira at UFC 317, when he became the new champion.

Immediately after the fight, Ilia Topuria faced off with Paddy Pimblett in an impromptu stare down in the cage, which was orchestrated by Joe Rogan.

The stare down didn’t only leave UFC boss Dana White annoyed, but it also didn’t sit well with longtime lightweight contender Arman Tsarukyan, who believes he should be the next title challenger.

Tsarukyan goes in on ‘trashcan’ Pimblett following his recent title claim

At this point, it is relatively unclear who the UFC is going to pick to fight ‘El Matador’ next, but Topuria thinks they are leaning towards Justin Gaethje.

However, ‘The Baddy’ recently sent a message to the lightweight division and more importantly to Topuria, claiming that he is coming for the Spaniard.

Along with that, Pimblett stated that he hopes the title situation gets sorted soon, admitting that there are other contenders that are likely ahead of him in the pecking order.

According to Paddy, though, Tsarukyan is not one of them as he said: “Other people are probably more deserving, but ‘posh boy’ definitely isn’t – little rich boy Arman,” Pimblett said.

‘The Baddy’s’ words didn’t sit well with ‘Ahalkalakets’ who has issued a response, labelling Pimblett a ‘trashcan’.

“You’re a nobody, a trashcan at most. Daddy Dana fed you a couple of senior citizens to build up your hype. That’s all you are, hype. I earned everything in my career, nothing was handed to me you bum. Now sit your goofy a– down and wait until Daddy tells you what to do,” Tsarukyan said in a post on X.

Tsarukyan willing to fight another contender to earn title shot

Although in the eyes of the fanbase Tsarukyan deserves the next title shot, according to Dana, he still has some ways to go before he proves himself, despite having weighed in as the backup for UFC 317.

And with that, the 28-year-old has claimed that he is willing to fight another contender to truly earn another shot at the lightweight title.
