Henry Cejudo Rubbishes Possible Reason For Brandon Moreno's Reluctance To Take Bad Blood Fight: 'That's The Stupidest S**t Ever!'
Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports

Henry Cejudo wants to settle his beef with Brandon Moreno by stepping into the Octagon.

The pair have been at odds ever since their falling out on The Ultimate Fighter 24, where Cejudo was a coach and Moreno was a contestant. Since then, "Triple C" has further flamed the bad blood between them by coaching Deiveson Figueiredo to victory over Moreno at UFC 270.

'The Dude Struggles To Make 125' - Henry Cejudo On Brandon Moreno

During a recent interview with MMA Junkie, Cejudo noted that Moreno originally suggested settling their issues in the Octagon last year, something "Triple C" is interested in doing.

"This was Brandon's idea, I'm just accepting his challenge," Cejudo said. "Once I lost to Aljamain Sterling, he says, 'Henry, don't retire yet... Eff the belts, eff everything, this isn't about that, let's me and you fight.' And after this fight, just like, 'Alright man.' I was contemplating retirement but I just like- I couldn't once I watched the fight, I knew the errors, I knew everything pretty much that happened, you know?"

"Triple C" went on to suggest that if Moreno did not want to fight at 135 pounds, they could do a catchweight of 131 pounds instead. Interviewer Mike Bohn later suggested that the main concern from Moreno's camp might be that he is too small to safely fight at bantamweight.

Cejudo rubbished this notion, claiming "The Assassin Baby" would be better off health-wise at bantamweight.

"That's the stupidest s**t ever," Cejudo said. "Dude, I know Brandon, the dude struggles to make 125 pounds, he's too f***ing big, it's time for him to move up. Look, I'm short, right? Like, you know what I'm saying? It sucks to make 125 pounds, this is the same reason why I went up, I think he'll become more successful, and I personally think he'll feel better."
