Jasmine Jasudavicius controlled Erin Blanchfield from bell to bell Saturday night, winning a lopsided decision at UFC Fight Night to announce herself as a threat in the women's featherweight division.
Jasudavicius leaned on her grappling throughout the contest, per ESPN, taking Blanchfield down repeatedly and keeping her pinned against the fence. The Canadian never allowed Blanchfield to establish any offensive rhythm, shutting down scrambles and dictating position for the better part of three rounds.
Earlier on the card, Mike Malott landed a spectacular finish that had the arena on its feet. The welterweight drilled his opponent with a perfectly timed strike to earn the stoppage.
Jasudavicius now moves into the conversation at 145 pounds. Her next opponent will determine whether she's one fight away from a title eliminator or needs another win to crack the top five.
