Sean Strickland has shared a positive update after sustaining injuries in a motor vehicle crash late on Monday.
Outside of fighting, off-roading is up there with Strickland’s most lovable activities. In the open desert outside of Las Vegas, Nevada, the UFC middleweight champion takes his ATVs and motorcycles and joyrides with buddies. Sometimes during those trips, Strickland gets into wrecks or minor crashes. That occurrence is becoming more common, and his most recent incident left his friend in the hospital.
Allowing his friend, Chris Cornell, to drive, the pair got into a 60-mile-per-hour crash, leaving Sean Strickland with many visible injuries, some to his head. But Cornell took the brunt of the damage. In an update following the events, Strickland announced that Cornell had lost consciousness and was taken to the hospital.
Dealing with injuries himself, Strickland provided an update to fans.
“Alright guys, quick update. I think I’m ok,” Strickland announced after his crash. “Chris Cornell went unconscious a little bit. So, he’s in the hospital, but I think he’s going to be alright. He just went to sleep for a little bit, but yeah, man.”
If it’s dangerous or controversial, Sean Strickland is likely close by. Strickland had a ball while he and his friend almost lost their lives during the late hours of Monday. Things could have gone much worse, but they fortunately didn’t, and Strickland lived to tell the tale.
“Honestly, the most f***ing fun I’ve had in a very, very long time,” Strickland added. “My wallet’s a little sore; Rainbet did say they’d cover it, so that’s nice. But yeah, no dude, that was the most fun thing I’ve done in a very long time. I hope Chris is ok. I’ve never seen anybody go unconscious before; that was interesting.”
