Bubba Wallace Has One Main Complaint With The NASCAR Schedule

The long NASCAR season can be draining for its drivers and one of its biggest stars thinks its time for a change.

Appearing on the "Rubbin' Is Racing" show, 23XI's Bubba Wallace shared that he believes the Cup Series calendar could definitely be shortened — he's just not sure the sport knows how to do it just yet.

"The thing is really you only get the month of December off," Wallace explained. "From the social side of things, that ramps up Week One. For me, it was Week One of January, and then leading up to the Clash now, you get one month off."

"I think we all are agreeing that it's too long, but I don't know if we're ready to have the conversation of what it's going to take to condense it the right way."

Regardless, Bubba shared that he's looking forward to having a great 2025 campaign last month — and expectations are high for both he and his Toyota-backed team.

"Last night of the off season. Pre season work starts tomorrow, kicking it off with a fun trip to see the [Columbia] fam!" Wallace posted to X at the start of January. "Excited for this season to get underway. Took it upon myself to be better and do better. Got my [expletive] kicked the last 2 seasons, plain and simple."

"No shame in saying that. Using it as motivation," he added. "I've been rocking the 'just get by' mentality for too long. Focused on my well being most importantly. Eating right, drinking right. Working out. Tired of looking like the grinch (can't help the hair) [laughs]."

"I love my wife, but she thinks it's a fad and I'm gonna stop next week," Wallace concluded. "So excited to prove her wrong. In fact, I've been at it since the end of the season. The last 3 months have been the best ever. The mentals are at an all time high!! Couldn't be happier!"

Bubba is definitely off to a promising start and he'll look to keep it rolling at this weekend's EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix in Austin.
