A new collaboration between NASCAR and streetwear brand Anti Social Social Club is dropping just in time for Las Vegas. Fans and hype beasts alike can get access to the new, limited edition apparel line tomorrow morning.

The new collection includes hats, shirts, hoodies, a helmet, and more. Anti Social Social Club is a major streetwear and fashion brand. You have likely seen their apparel at concerts, at the store, or maybe even at a race.

NASCAR has done apparel collections in the past. This one looks to be one of the largest. Stock car racing and fashion are things that actually overlap quite a bit. Classic NASCAR t-shirts, jackets, and hats have become vintage gold in recent years.

This drop from NASCAR and Anti Social Social Club is going to be very popular with fans, I think. It looks like a good mix of a vintage design while also looking new and modern. It is a hard needle to thread, no pun intended, but when it is done well, it turns out really well.

One thing that I’m shocked about is where Toni Breidinger was in all of this? You have a driver who is also a model in her other job away from the track. This seems like something she would wear at the track, for sure.

NASCAR can be authentic and keep up with culture

There is currently a new marketing campaign for NASCAR. It hasn’t really gone out officially yet, but the sport is trying to get back to its roots, apparently. We have heard this multiple times over the years, so we will see how it turns out. But is a streetwear collection keeping in tradition with NASCAR’s roots?

The thing is, change happens naturally. For NASCAR, there is nothing stopping them from being authentically NASCAR (blue-collar, rough and tumble racing primarily done on ovals, etc.) and still embracing the cultural realities of today. There is a difference between being authentic to your roots and chasing nostalgia, being stuck in the past.

For many years now, NASCAR merch has been coveted. A lot of old racing merch and apparel has gained popularity in streetwear circles and other fashion communities. But that happened naturally. So, the sport doing a collab with Anti Social Social Club is not a contradiction, but an acknowledgement of how the sport interacts with mainstream culture.

“NASCAR and Anti Social Social Club are coming together to create something fresh, bold, and unapologetic. Both streetwear and motorsports thrive on energy, culture, and individuality,” said Megan Malayter, vice president of licensing and consumer products at NASCAR, in a press release. “This drop brings those worlds into the same lane. We’re excited to see fans rock the collection trackside and beyond, repping NASCAR in a way that speaks to today’s style and culture.”

The new apparel line from NASCAR and Anti Social Social Club drops tomorrow at 11:00 AM ET/8:00 AM PT. Get Las Vegas race weekend started by browsing the new collection.
