It's a pretty special week for RFK Racing driver Ryan Preece, both on and off the track. On Thursday, he announced the birth of his son, Bentley Ryan, on X. Now, as he returns to Cup Series racing at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, he carries fresh motivation and a larger family to cheer him on in his bid to secure a win.
Preece and his wife, Heather, have been married for eight years since 2017. They met at the Stafford Motor Speedway back in 2009, when Preece was working for a chassis builder. Heather's father had been in the market looking to buy a race car of the type that Preece made, and the stars aligned from there on.
They already have one child together, a daughter named Rebecca Marie, born on August 7, 2023.

In his maiden season with RFK Racing, Preece has surprised many with his speed and skill. He orchestrated the best performance of his career yet with three top-5 finishes and 11 top-10 finishes. But what he still lacks is a victory. He was closest he's ever been to Victory Lane during the March race at Las Vegas, finishing third behind Josh Berry and Daniel Suarez.
Will he abe ble to perform similarly once more and close that little gap between him and victory? The answer will come soon. In the meantime, his journey through the year is worthy of proper appreciation.
The No. 60 entry was built from the ground up for Preece this year. It really is shocking that the team has approached each weekend with no green in it. He said about this earlier in the week, "I'll be honest with you, I think it shocked a lot of people for a first-year team that has never been together or been at RFK as an organization."
"So, I feel like we've executed and done a good job on being consistent and making progress outside of winning." A win would have locked them into the playoffs, but their current standing isn't something to be concerned about either.
Preece trusts that the 2025 campaign is a solid foundation for a better season to come in 2026. He continued, "For me, I feel like we've made a lot of progress and we continue to make progress and even in moments of adversity we find a way to execute, so I see a really high ceiling on all fronts and that makes me feel really optimistic and excited about 2026."
The upcoming playoff event in Vegas could be his golden opportunity to win a race this season. The green flag will wave at 5:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, and Preece will have extra motivation from little Bentley when it does.
