Katherine Legge's otherwise quiet NASCAR Cup Series debut took a turn on lap 216 of Sunday's Shriners Children's 500 at Phoenix.
Legge was running in 28th-place when she got loose on the exit of Turn 2. After making slight contact with Josh Berry, Legge went around for the second time in the race, but unlike her Lap 4 spin, this one wasn't a single-car incident.
Unfortunately for Daniel Suarez — who was running in sixth-place at the time — Legge's spin happened right in front of him. As Legge attempted to lock her car down and control her slide down the backstretch, Suarez's No. 99 plowed into the side of Legge's No. 78, incurring major damage to the front of Suarez's Chevrolet.

Legge was able to drive away from the scene of the crash with damage to the left-rear of her Chevy.
Legge's start in Sunday's race marks the first time a female has competed in a NASCAR Cup Series event since Danica Patrick raced in the 2018 Daytona 500.
