The Phoenix Suns are set to have a new owner after Mat Ishbia has completed the purchase of the team.

The Phoenix Suns are receiving big news, as the team is set to be under new management soon. The tumultuous Robert Sarver tenure in Phoenix is coming to an end, as the team is being sold to a billionaire.

Following several months full of speculation about this team, the questions have been answered, and a new owner will be taking over the Suns organization, hoping to bring something different to the same after the nearly two decades Sarver ruled without thinking of those who worked for him.

After the NBA suspended him for a year and a lot of people attacked him, Sarver decided to sell the team, which drew a lot of attention from many people. Even Shaquille O'Neal and Barack Obama were mentioned among the potential buyers.

Billionaire Mat Ishbia Is Purchasing The Phoenix Suns After Robert Sarver's Scandal

Now, Adrian Wojnarowski reveals that Mat Ishbia, a billionaire mortgage lender, is set to complete the purchase of the Phoenix Suns.

BREAKING: Billionaire mortgage lender Mat Ishbia is finalizing a purchase of the Phoenix Suns, sources tell ESPN. The deal, expected to be completed in the near future, would end the tumultuous tenure of owner Robert Sarver.

This is great news to those who fought hard to see Sarver out of the franchise. It took a while, but he's now out of the team and won't be able to inflict any fear on the workers.

The Suns have thrived on the court in the past couple of seasons, but as great as they were on the court, the people working behind the scenes lived a nightmare. Now, things can get better for them, and we hope that these situations don't replicate in the future.

Right now, the Suns rank 3rd in the Western Conference after a whooping 130-104 win over the Los Angeles Lakers, ready to compete for a championship. Perhaps the end of this drama can make them focus on the big prize, and next year they can win the elusive NBA championship.
