Hornets sign Marcus Garrett, release Brandon Slater

The Hornets have added guard Marcus Garrett on a training camp deal and released forward Brandon Slater, the team announced. Garrett, 25, is expected to be on an Exhibit 10 contract, which could funnel him back to the Greensboro Swarm, Charlotte’s G League affiliate.
