Will Barton spent the 2022-23 NBA season playing for both the Washington Wizards and Toronto Raptors.

The 11-year veteran averaged 6.8 points, 2.4 rebounds and 2.0 assists per contest while shooting 37.9% from the field and 36.7% from the three-point range in 56 games.

Over three weeks into NBA free agency, Barton remains available to sign with any team in the league.

In addition to the Raptors and Wizards, he has also spent time with the Portland Trail Blazers and Denver Nuggets (he was initially the 40th pick in the 2012 NBA Draft out of Memphis).

His career averages are 11.2 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.7 assists per contest while shooting 43.0% from the field and 35.5% from the three-point range in 679 regular season games (he has also appeared in 29 NBA playoff games).

Barton has significant experience and has averaged at least 11.5 points per contest in seven out of his 11 seasons.

Therefore, the 32-year-old could end up being a good pickup for a contending team looking to add depth to their bench.

In addition, Barton would be a good signing as a veteran for a young team.

As for the Raptors, they are coming off a year where they were the ninth seed in the Eastern Conference and had a 41-41 record.

They lost to the Chicago Bulls in the play-in tournament, so the Raptors did not make the 2023 NBA playoffs.

After winning the 2019 NBA Championship, the franchise has only won one playoff series over the previous four seasons.
