Badara Diakite Commits to Hawkeyes

A youthful Iowa Basketball roster expected to return a lot of talent next season added another member to the group on Tuesday. Versatile South Kent (CT) School big man Badara Diakite announced he was verbally committing to the Hawkeyes.

The 6-foot-10, 190-pounder became the first member of Iowa's 2025 recruiting class. He also reported scholarship offers from Penn State, Washington and Boston College.

Diakite officially visited Iowa City earlier this semester. The Hawkeyes offered him a scholarship on Oct. 7.
