The third quarter saw a sluggish start and a gloomy injury. Middleton suffered a right shoulder stinger and left the game. Caleb Martin entered the game. Brandon Williams found Marvin Bagley III, who completed an alley-oop for HIS ninth assist of the game. Dallas took a 99-91 lead through three quarters.

The fourth quarter saw a slow start, but the two teams gradually picked up the pace. Terance Mann’s red-hot scoring contributed to Brooklyn’s run to cut into the lead. Mann, 29, hit back-to-back three-pointers. However, Dallas’ resilience remained. Marshall’s defense stayed hot, as Marvin Bagley III’s off-the-bench points shone. Dallas won 123-114 in regulation.
