Bucks’ Myles Turner Announces New Career During NBA Season

Myles Turner departed the Indiana Pacers in free agency to join the Milwaukee Bucks, but his first season has been challenging. Turner left Indiana after 10 seasons and signed a four-year, $108.9 million contract with Milwaukee in July 2025 as the team sought to bolster its frontcourt. Through the midpoint of the 2025-26 NBA season, Turner is averaging 12.2 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game for the Bucks.

Milwaukee, now 18-25, has struggled to find consistency, and in their latest game Wednesday, the Bucks lost 122-102 to the Oklahoma City Thunder. Reigning league MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 40 points with 11 assists and seven rebounds, while Milwaukee missed Turner due to a sprained left ankle and guard Kevin Porter Jr. was also out.

While the Bucks continue to navigate a turbulent campaign, Turner on Thursday announced a new career venture off the court. He and WNBA star Breanna Stewart will launch a podcast titled “Game Recognize Game with Stewie and Myles,” set to debut Jan. 28.

The weekly series, a unique podcast co-hosted by active players from both the NBA and WNBA, will feature Turner and Stewart discussing basketball, culture and life beyond the court, offering perspectives from both leagues on the sport and its broader impact.

While Turner continues to make moves off the court, Milwaukee will look to regroup Friday at home against the Denver Nuggets (29-15). The Bucks have now lost five of their last seven games and will hope Turner could return to action and help them against a tough Western Conference opponent. Tipoff is set for 9:30 p.m. ET.
