NBA Finals MVP Nikola Jokic was absent from TNT's Opening Night graphic, and Charles Barkley was not pleased.
Oh, and the NBA champs.

The Opening Night doubleheader on TNT features the Los Angeles Lakers against the Denver Nuggets at 7:30 p.m. ET and the Phoenix Suns facing the Golden State Warriors at 10 p.m. ET. However, the opening graphic features players from just three of those teams: LeBron James of the Lakers, Steph Curry of the Warriors and Kevin Durant of the Suns. And also, inexplicably, Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics.
TNT's graphics department apparently forgot about the defending champions and two-time MVP Jokic. But the Chuckster didn't.

"You sent me that graphic and I showed it to Ernie (TNT) and we just want to apologize to the Nuggets, Joker and the city of Denver. That's completely stupid not having Joker on that graphic. I mean, we're here all day!" https://t.co/Ph33UsQMK7
In an appearance on Altitude Sports Radio, Barkley apologized for snubbing Jokic on behalf of TNT and his "Inside The NBA" co-host Ernie Johnson.
"We just want to apologize to the Nuggets, Joker and the city of Denver," Barkley told the radio hosts. "That's completely stupid not having Joker on the graphic!"
Leaving Jokic off the promotional materials in favor of the Lakers hearkens back to Nuggets coach Michael Malone's complaints during the Western Conference Finals that the media only talked about the Lakers even when Denver won.
“You win Game 1 of the playoffs, and all anyone talked about was the Lakers. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.”

Now, when the Nuggets are about to play the Lakers, TNT is promoting the Boston Celtics, a team that isn't playing until Wednesday night, on a totally different network.
Luckily, Jokic won't need Barkley's apology, because it's likely he didn't even see the graphic. He's too busy studying horses.
"I'm scouting horses."
