The news all NBA fans were hoping not to hear has come true. Damian Lillard has torn his left Achilles tendon and will miss the remainder of the postseason.
Lillard fought so hard to return to basketball after missing a month due to deep vein thrombosis. His return had a few people scratching their heads, as they believed it was too soon for him to return with that condition.
Nonetheless, Lillard returned in Game 2 against the Indiana Pacers and he certainly showed signs of rust. Lillard scored 14 in his return on 4-13 shooting.
In Game 3, Lillard played even worse. He scored seven points on a terrible 2-12 shooting. Tragically, Lillard collapsed to the floor just six minutes into Game 4, with Shams Charania later confirming it was due to a torn left Achilles tendon.
