Dallas Mavericks swingman Klay Thompson is widely considered one of the greatest three-point shooters in NBA history, and he is drawing inspiration from one of the league’s legends.
In a recent social media post, the Dallas Mavericks guard paid tribute to Larry Bird, who played 13 years in the NBA as the Boston Celtics’ franchise player. The respect is mutual between the two, as Bird once named Thompson as one of his “favorite players to watch.”
“I can watch Larry’s highlights all day long,” Thompson wrote on his Instagram story Tuesday night.
“Klay Thompson’s always been one of my favorite players,” Bird said about Thompson last year via The Athletic. “What an incredible shooter… Scoring 60 points in what I think was 30 minutes — unbelievable. Took eight dribbles. How do you do that? He also scored like 39 points in a quarter. How do you do that?”
Dallas Mavericks swingman Klay Thompson recently said his budding romance with Megan Thee Stallion – born Megan Pete – has improved his athletic abilities.
“Ever since I’ve been in love, my golf game’s reaped all the benefits,” Thompson said via TikTok.
Thompson and Pete officially went public with their romance earlier this month, and the latter described the former as her first wholesome relationship.
