The Memphis Grizzlies were the only team in the NBA to never have a player eclipse 50 points, but that stat is no more after Ja Morant dropped 52 against the San Antonio Spurs on Monday.
Morant, 22, did it with 22 successful field goals on 30 attempts, including a perfect 4-for-4 on three-point tries. He also added seven rebounds, two assists, and a pair of incredible highlights just before halftime.

Just two weeks ago, Morant's best games of the 2021-22 season were a pair of 41-point performances against the Los Angeles Lakers and San Antonio Spurs in December and January. But he scored 44 against the Portland Trail Blazers on Feb. 16 and then upped that number to a career-high 46 points against the Chicago Bulls on Saturday.
The 46-point total was a new Grizzlies record, breaking the old mark of 45 points set by Mike Miller in a February 2007 game.
