There aren't many people in the world who have had a better front-row seat to Nikola Jokic's dominance besides Jamal Murray. Just last night, Murray witnessed Jokic put up a phenomenal triple-double of 31 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists on 68/75/100 shooting.
Eight years into their partnership, and Murray realizes Jokic's dominance is just an everyday thing for the two-time MVP.
"It's just an everyday thing for him," Murray said. "We play through him so much and he just makes the right read constantly every game. It’s less about the numbers for me, the consistency of how much attention he draws and the plays he makes, I think that’s what stands out most to me. I think that's what people don't give him enough credit for. Even if he has a bad game or two, it's like so what, he does such an amazing job each and every night, just controlling the pace of the game or making big plays. He's the greatest in the game."

One thing that sticks out most in Murray's statement is that it's less about the numbers and more about the consistency of how much attention Jokic draws. It's very rare for Nikola Jokic to make the wrong play in a situation, he somehow always finds the right option. Even if Jokic or the person he passes it to misses a shot, it's still almost always the right play. That's what makes Nikola Jokic special.

Chicago Bulls Could Reportedly Release 14-Year NBA Veteran
Nikola Vucevic is coming off another season of strong production for the Chicago Bulls. He put up averages of 18.5 points, 10.1 rebounds and 3.5 assists per contest while shooting 53.0% from the field and 40.2% from the three-point range in 73 games. Vucevic has been mentioned in a lot of trade rumors over the previous few years. According to Jake Fischer (via Bleacher Report, h/t Yahoo Sports), the Bulls could buyout the two-time NBA All-Star. Fischer: "There hasn't been much of a market for Nikola Vucevic all along... I think that this juncture, we're probably more likely to see a Nikola Vucevic buyout mid-season than we are to see a trade." Vucevic was the 16th pick in the 2011 NBA Draft out of USC. He has also spent time with the Orlando Magic and Philadelphia 76ers. His career averages are 17.2 points, 10.5 rebounds and 2.9 assists per contest while shooting 49.7% from the field and 34.8% from the three-point range in 972 games. Green Bay Packers: 2x Pro Bowler Elgton Jenkins Reveals True Feelings on Position Change, Contract Rumors
One of the biggest stories surrounding the Green Bay Packers this offseason has been the position change, and following absences, of two-time Pro Bowl left guard Elgton Jenkins. Early in the spring, it was quite clear that Green Bay had no intention of bringing back 2021 second round pick Josh Myers, who had been the Packers’ starting center since he was drafted. He ended up signing a one-year prove-it deal with the New York Jets. With Myers no longer in the fold, many wondered who the Packers would have play center. Zach Tom has long mentioned as a potential option there, as has second-year lineman Jacob Monk. But, to the shock of many, Green Bay opted to move Jenkins, who (as mentioned) is a two-time Pro Bowl left guard, to the position. They also signed Aaron Banks to a four-year $77 million contract to fill the hole left at left guard with Jenkins moving to center. It Was Reported that Green Bay Packers Star Elgton Jenkins Was Holding Out for a Revised Contract After the Packers announced that Jenkins was going to be moving to center while Banks would be entrenched at left guard, there were a series of reports that came out the two-time Pro Bowler was not happy. It was not that he minded the position switch. After all, he played center in college and filled in at the position in 2021 when Myers was out with an injury. Instead, these reports stated that Jenkins was concerned that the position switch would affect his earning capabilities in the NFL after his contract in Green Bay comes to an end. Centers do not make as much money as guards, and it was believed that Jenkins wanted some extra guarantees from the Packers in exchange for making the switch. And when Jenkins did not report to Green Bay for OTA’s and mandatory mini camp, fans began to worry that they had a real contract holdout on their hands. This was assumed to be the case, too, when Jenkins started training camp on the non-football injury list. Jenkins returned to practice on Tuesday, participating in individual drills only as he ramps up his activity. He had injured his back lifting weights during the offseason, which is why he started camp on the NFI. As for OTA’s, well, he had some family matters to attend to: As Ryan Wood notes, Jenkins spoke the Packers twice this offseason. The first time when they asked him about switching positions, and the second when he told them he would. What is more, per Wood, Jenkins has been planning a move to center for some time now: This is great news for Green Bay, who will be relying on Jenkins as their longest-tenured lineman, again, to lead the group tasked with protecting Jordan Love and opening holes for the run game.

The 2025 Baseball Hall of Fame class had its day in Cooperstown on Sunday. This year's class included Ichiro Suzuki, CC Sabathia and Billy Wagner, who were elected by the eligible voters from the Baseball Writer's Association of America, and Dave Parker and Dick Allen, who were elected by the Classic Baseball Era Committee. Here are some of the top highlights from Sunday's induction speeches. Dave Parker's son reads poem written by Hall of Fame father Parker's induction into the Hall of Fame was long overdue, and he sadly did not have the opportunity to enjoy the moment of seeing his name in the Hall of Fame as he died June 28. That left his speech in the hands of his son, Dave Parker II, who read a poem written by his dad. Parker spent the majority of his career with the Pittsburgh Pirates where he was an MVP winner, two-time batting champion and World Series champion with the 1979 "We Are Family" team. Dick Allen's wife remembers his kindness Allen was the other veterans committee inductee, and his widow, Willa Allen, spent the majority of her speech remember the kindness of Allen off the field as much as his ability on the field. Allen is going into the Hall of Fame as a Phillie but won the 1972 American League MVP with the Chicago White Sox. He led the league in OPS four times and was the 1964 National League Rookie of the Year. A reminder that Billy Wagner wasn't naturally left-handed Being left-handed is a huge advantage (and money-maker) for pitchers, and Wagner was one of the most dominant left-handed relief pitchers to ever step onto a mound in the big leagues. But he wasn't always left-handed. Wagner was a natural-born right-handed person but taught himself how to throw left-handed after fracturing his right arm twice as a kid. It led to quite a career. Wagner made a name for himself with the Houston Astros but also spent years with the Philadelphia Phillies, New York Mets, Atlanta Braves and Boston Red Sox. CC Sabathia takes playful dig at Ichiro Sabathia accomplished a ton in his 19-year big league career. He won 251 games, won the 2007 American League Cy Young Award, was the 2009 ALCS MVP and a World Series champion. He still has apparently not gotten over the one individual award he did not win — the 2001 American League Rookie of the Year Award, which went to fellow 2025 inductee Ichiro. Sabathia made sure to make a playful dig at that. Sabathia was the only American League rookie outside of Ichiro — who also won the American League MVP that year — to get a first-place vote. He received one. The others all went to Ichiro. Ichiro stole the show Ichiro stole 509 bases in his Hall of Fame career, and on Sunday, he added one more steal to his list of accomplishments by absolutely stealing the show at Cooperstown. He delivered two of the best lines of the day, first by calling out the one lone writer who did not vote for him, keeping him from being just the second unanimous Hall of Fame inductee ever (after Mariano Rivera). His best line of the day, however, might have been when he referenced his brief time as a member of the Miami Marlins toward the end of his career. Ichiro played 14 of his 19 seasons with the Seattle Mariners while also spending time with the Marlins and Yankees.

Adam Schefter says what Commanders fans dreaded about Terry McLaurin talks
Terry McLaurin is back at the facility after his contract holdout. Everyone associated with the Washington Commanders was thrilled to welcome him, but any hope around a new deal being agreed upon evaporated almost as quickly as it arrived. McLaurin is back for the fans. He's back for his teammates. He's back to avoid getting fined $50,000 per day. He's not back to mend fences or get involved too much in negotiations. That's for his representatives and general manager Adam Peters to figure out. McLaurin has a price in mind. So does Washington's front office leader, and Adam Schefter from ESPN claimed that the two sides were nowhere near some middle ground right now. Adam Schefter thinks Terry McLaurin wants more than $33 million per year on Commanders extension Schefter stated during his latest appearance on the Pat McAfee Show that the floor is probably the $33 million per year D.K. Metcalf received from the Pittsburgh Steelers. However, the senior insider also thought McLaurin could be asking for a lot more. It's been vast. So it's up to the two sides to find a way to bridge their differences. But I would say that D.K. Metcalf was in the same draft class as Terry McLaurin. He got about 33 million dollars a year. I wouldn't think Terry wants to take less than that, and I think he wants considerably more than that. Now, what it comes in at, we'll wind up seeing. Washington... They're not there right now. They love and value Terry McLaurin, but they love and value him at a different price. These two sides right now seem apart on a deal. They don't seem close today, and I don't know how they're going to get that resolved and figured out.Adam Schefter This doesn't exactly fill Washington's fan base with much optimism. But, in all honesty, it's been the brutal truth since talks over a new deal began. Peters is reluctant to meet McLaurin's demands. He's almost 30 years old, and production often regresses on third NFL contracts. Although he's shown no signs of slowing down and remains among the most durable wideouts around, things are not matching up from a business sense currently. There is still time to work things out, and they typically do the closer we get to the regular season. McLaurin is on the physically unable to perform list with an ankle complication, so he's not practicing. And the former third-round pick out of Ohio State is unlikely to be on the field in any capacity until some more long-term financial security arrives.
