Jimmy Butler Teases Exciting Development Before NBA Season

Jimmy Butler is working hard behind the scenes ahead of his first full season with the Golden State Warriors. After making a significant impact on his new team following his drama-filled mid-season blockbuster trade from the Miami Heat, Butler’s campaign with the Warriors came to an end via a disappointing second-round NBA playoffs loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Butler, who averaged 17.9 points on 47.6% shooting, 5.5 rebounds, 5.9 assists and 1.7 steals in 30 games played for Golden State last season, is looking to come back even stronger in Year 2. Steph Curry and the Warriors will also need the six-time All-Star to be at his very best if they hope to contend for a championship in 2025-26.

On a personal level, Butler appears to have something in store for his fans this coming season. On Monday, the 35-year-old took to Instagram to tease an exciting development involving his upcoming signature shoe with Chinese sports apparel brand Li-Ning.

Butler shared a post from Sneaker News, which indicates that the Warriors forward “could be wear-testing the next model” in his signature sneaker line, the Li-Ning Jimmy Butler 4.⁠ He appears to have confirmed the news by adding a “coming soon” GIF in his post.

On Sunday, Butler shared a selection of offseason workout photos and videos with teammate Draymond Green. The five-time All-NBA forward opted to blur out the shoes he was wearing in some of the pictures.

It’s possible that Butler was already wearing his new pair of sneakers during his recent workout, and his most recent tease could support this theory.

Butler has been with Li-Ning since 2020 . The former Most Improved Player winner opted to sign with the Chinese sportswear giant after his contract with Jordan Brand came to an end, becoming one of Li-Ning’s most prominent signature athletes, alongside Heat legend and former teammate Dwyane Wade.
