The Drew League has provided NBA fans with some action that they weren't expecting throughout the offseason. When the Golden State Warriors finished the offseason by winning the NBA title, the expectation was that fans would have to wait till the start of next season to watch the biggest stars in the league play again.

However, then Drew League, with its history of attracting superstars for its games, has already played host to the likes of LeBron James and DeMar DeRozan. Trae Young also saw the game and wanted in on the action, and he made it happen too. And it wasn't just Trae who graced the Drew League game, he was joined by his Atlanta Hawks teammate John Collins.

Collins and Young teamed up for the Black Pearl Elite team and had quite a few highlights during the game. They combined for 38 points but the reactions weren't necessarily positive after their outing. Both shot poorly from the field and John Collins somehow became the first NBA player to foul out during a Drew League game. This ignominious honor was pointed out immediately by the commentator, in what was a bit of a roast.

“John Collins has just fouled out. John Collins is the first NBA player to foul out in the Drew League. He made history tonight.”

To add insult to injury, Collins and Young's team lost the game, 103-100 despite having 2 NBA players playing. Not exactly the night out in the Drew League that either was hoping for, and a lot more embarrassing for Collins than anything else.

Utimately, what happens in the Drew League is quite irrelevant in the grand scheme of things. However, Collins would've been hoping to show out a bit more, and at least see his team win. This has been great publicity for the Drew League though, both times NBA players have played, they haven't been able to dominate completely.
