Kings F Keegan Murray (thumb) expected to miss 4-6 weeks

Sacramento Kings forward Keegan Murray is scheduled for surgery on a torn UCL in his left thumb and will be re-evaluated in four to six weeks.

Murray was injured during Friday's preseason game against the Portland Trail Blazers.

Murray, 25, averaged 12.4 points with a career-best 6.7 rebounds over 76 games (all starts) for the Kings last season.

The Kings are set to open the 2025-26 season Oct. 22 on the road against the Phoenix Suns.

In three seasons with Sacramento after being the fourth overall draft pick in 2022 out of Iowa, Murray has averaged 13.3 points with 5.6 rebounds in 233 games (231 starts).
